AutoSettle is designed to make vehicle transactions safe, respectful, and hassle-free.

Our secure, built-in chat system allows you to connect without ever needing to share personal contact details.

To help protect yourself and others, follow these simple tips when chatting:

1. Keep Conversations on the Platform

Always use AutoSettle’s in-app chat to communicate.

If someone suggests switching to SMS, WhatsApp, email, or another app - especially early in the conversation - that’s a red flag.

Staying on the platform keeps your conversation secure and ensures we can step in if needed.

2. Don’t Share Personal Contact Details

Avoid giving out:

  • Your phone number

  • Personal email address

  • Social media accounts

  • Home address

Everything you need to Buy or Sell can be handled safely within AutoSettle - even the Handover process can be handled through the AutoSettle chat process.

3. Never Agree to Payments Outside the Platform

All payments should go through AutoSettle.

If someone asks for:

  • Direct bank transfers

  • Card payments

  • Deposits outside the system

…it's a clear sign to stop and report. Our platform is built to safeguard your transactions.

And by the way, we have no use in taking Gift Cards for the payment of vehicles - if you are ever requested to make a purchase for Gift Cards or iTunes cards, this is a red flag and report this to us immediately. 

4. Be Wary of Unusual Requests

Watch out for:

  • Offers to overpay

  • Requests for urgent transfers

  • Suspicious links

  • Pressure to rush the deal

If it feels strange, it probably is. Pause and double-check before taking action.

5. Report Anything Suspicious

If something doesn’t feel right, report it directly through the platform.

Our support team will review it quickly and discreetly. We’d rather investigate a false alarm than miss a real issue.

If a conversation feels off, uncomfortable, or too aggressive, you’re allowed to walk away - or ask for help.
